The supervisor manages the daily activities of warehouse and transportation team members, directing leads on work assignments and schedules. A key aspect of the role is assigning work, monitoring productivity, and ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, product damage minimization, safety, and overall efficiency. The position also involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring warehouse and transportation operations to ensure on-time deliveries and reduce irregularities and damage. Promoting safety through education and ensuring a safe work environment is crucial, as is enforcing safety rules and reporting incidents. Communication of policies, safety regulations, and SOPs to operators and the Traffic Manager, along with monitoring compliance and taking corrective action, is essential. The role includes conducting shift change meetings, auditing loads, and ensuring the facility is maintained cleanly and orderly. Minimizing product damage and maintaining high team member morale and recognition are also key responsibilities. The supervisor is responsible for training, coaching, feedback, and regular evaluations of team members, as well as resolving team member relations issues and investigating operational errors and inventory discrepancies. Reviewing and approving time records, informing senior management of operating issues, and preparing reports are also part of the duties. The role may involve driving vehicles or operating machinery and requires reliable attendance and adherence to safety and security standards.
