About The Position
The Storekeeper executes product and material handling and movement within the warehouse in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards. The role inspects and accepts incoming shipments against supplier packing lists, checks that received items are in satisfactory condition, and fulfills material requests. Local candidates are preferred; candidates from outside the area should indicate their willingness to relocate.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong organizational and inventory control skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous storekeeping, warehouse, inventory, or materials management experience.
- Experience using SAP for inventory or materials management.
- Prior experience in an industrial, manufacturing, production, or oilfield environment.
- Previous experience as a storekeeper using ERP systems.
- Warehouse or materials management experience and SAP knowledge.
- Local candidates are preferred; candidates outside the area should indicate willingness to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Comply with applicable company policies, including personnel and QHSE policies.
- Inspect, label, receive, store, pick, pack, issue, dispose of, and cycle count inventory items.
- Accept supplier deliveries; verify that items are in suitable condition and match the packing list and/or purchase order, and report discrepancies promptly.
- Pack outgoing inventory items suitably and issue them with correct and complete documentation.
- Optimize warehouse bin locations to improve efficiency and safety.
- Maintain housekeeping in the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
- Perform inventory cycle counting and support periodic physical counts.
- Perform tasks associated with Kitting, Kanban point-of-use replenishment, and other materials management initiatives as directed by the Supervisor.
- Investigate and resolve local inventory and warehouse issues as requested by the Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Operate a forklift or other materials handling equipment after completing training and certification.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
