WAREHOUSE STAFF
About The Position
The Warehouse Staff member is responsible for receiving, tracking, and storing all inventory and products received within the warehouse. The role handles incoming and outgoing shipments, supports warehouse inventory control, fulfills approved supply requests, and helps keep storerooms clean and orderly. It also includes off-property pick-ups and assisting with moving furniture, equipment, and other items. The position requires dependability, honesty, professionalism, respect for coworkers and guests, and a willingness to seek guidance when needed. The employee must maintain confidentiality, provide customer service, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and handle stressful situations professionally. Duties are performed indoors in a climate-controlled, non-smoking environment and outdoors during winter and summer months. The role requires working various hours as needed, including weekends and holidays, and handling substantial lifting and other physical tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems; employees must proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a non-key Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission gaming license.
- Good organizational skills and basic analytical and mathematical competency.
- Ability to read and understand inventory-system-generated paperwork.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations professionally.
- Ability to work various hours as needed, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to perform the physical job functions, including regularly lifting or moving up to 80 pounds, frequently lifting or moving up to 150 pounds, and occasionally lifting or moving more than 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in extreme cold or hot temperatures.
- Must maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance.
Nice To Haves
- One year of warehouse, stocking, or inventory control experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of purchasing or inventory software systems is preferred.
- Qualified Santa Ana Star Tribal Members are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with the buyer to resolve damages and shortages.
- Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure incoming and outgoing shipments to verify them against bills of lading, invoices, orders, other records, and warehouse inventory software.
- Assist with inventory of warehouse materials.
- Issue supplies upon receipt of approved requisitions, pull inventory issues, deliver them to the appropriate department, and close inventory issues in inventory software.
- Keep storerooms clean and orderly.
- Conduct off-property pick-ups.
- Assist in moving furniture, equipment, and other items.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Use company equipment safely and responsibly.
- Maintain confidentiality and provide professional, courteous service to coworkers and guests.
