About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for distributing building materials, primarily roofing and siding products, to residential and commercial builders and contractors. The role involves handling product for customer pickups and deliveries, operating company equipment and forklifts, maintaining warehouse areas, and providing professional customer service through in-person, phone, and electronic interactions.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; alternatively, one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to lift and carry building materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Nice To Haves

Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of building materials.
Forklift and/or Moffett experience.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company equipment to transport and pick up building materials at designated warehouse locations.
Communicate and work effectively with customers, dispatchers, management, and other employees.
Read work orders and invoices to determine product needs for customer pickup or delivery.
Frequently lift and carry building materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
Operate a forklift to load customer vehicles and delivery trucks, unload vendor trucks, and move stock.
Clean and organize warehouse areas, sweep warehouse floors and parking lot areas, and empty trash cans.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Provide personalized customer service through in-person and phone conversations.
Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor in interactions, including electronic communications.
Handle customer feedback and complaints efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction.
