About The Position

Inland Packaging is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to receive and distribute materials to inventory or other internal locations, and to package and ship finished materials according to customer specifications and guidelines. The role operates in a demanding, fast-paced, people-oriented manufacturing environment with frequent changes, interruptions, and multiple project assignments, and involves working with vendors, customers, employees, managers, and executives. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on 1st shift. The starting wage is $18.00–$20.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Computer literacy.
Knowledge of shipping programs.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to walk, sit, bend, stoop, push, pull, and stand; lift up to 100 pounds.
Visual acuity corrected to 20/40.

Responsibilities

Receive and efficiently distribute materials.
Pick and pack customer orders for shipment and help ensure on-time deliveries.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area and follow Inland safety policies.
Transport orders to delivery and shipping locations using material handling equipment.
Inspect equipment and perform minor maintenance; conduct physical inventories as required.
Ensure the correct quantities and products are loaded, shipped, or received.
Repack and weigh orders when needed.
Record appropriate data in the ERP system.
Contact and coordinate freight pickup with vendors.
Communicate with and support Sales and Operations regarding job completion status.
Maintain and order shipping supplies.
Meet productivity standards and support new processes and procedures intended to increase productivity.
Follow Inland policies when working with hazardous waste.
