Warehouse Specialist (Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt)
About The Position
Container Centralen, Inc. (CC, Inc.) is a major supplier of racks and carts to the North American horticultural industry, providing access to approximately 850,000 shipping racks and carts for live-plant deliveries to garden center retailers. The company offers asset rental and logistics services to its customers. The Warehouse Specialist performs warehouse operations involving shipping and receiving, inventory and quality control, product scanning, truck loading, and plant-rack assembly and repair. The role also includes maintaining tools and assisting with other warehouse or equipment-repair duties as needed. Duties and responsibilities may change or additional duties may be assigned at any time without notice.
Requirements
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Able to push and pull stacks of racks.
- Able to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving duties.
- Conduct inventory and quality control.
- Stack nursery racks before loading.
- Load trucks with product.
- Scan products.
- Close bills of lading (BOLs).
- Assemble plant-rack bases and shelves.
- Repair damaged plant-rack bases, shelves, and posts.
- Clean and maintain tools.
- Assist with equipment repairs and other warehouse duties as needed.
