About The Position

PCSI is seeking an experienced Warehouse Specialist (Engineering Tech IV) to join their team. This position will report to the Logistics Manager/APM and is based in San Diego, CA. Typical work hours will be Monday through Friday from 6:30am-3:00pm. PCSI is an AbilityOne employer, prioritizing individuals and veterans with disabilities for roles where applicable. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • OSHA certified forklift operator.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in warehouse operations.
  • Working knowledge of Navy Supply Operating System (ERP).
  • Ability to utilize normal material handling equipment (MHE) to include pallet jacks, VIDMAR systems and forklifts.
  • Ability to utilize ERP AIT devices.
  • Ability to lift, move and set down lightweight parts under 45 pounds without use of MHE.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach push loaded part carts, boxes of parts, etc.
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders and work in confined spaces.
  • Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard.
  • Must have the hand/eye coordination necessary to operate office business machines (calculator, phone, copier, etc.) and a personal computer.
  • Ability to expertly communicate both orally and/or in written format.
  • Ability to follow guidelines to arrange objects or actions in a certain order.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
  • Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

  • Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the established storage plan.
  • Verifies materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • Routes materials to prescribed storage locations.
  • Stores, stacks, or pallets materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
  • Finishes products for shipment or storage by placing them in shipping containers.
  • Performs warehouse functions including receiving, storing, moving and shipping inventory using Material Handling Equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts).
  • Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials.
  • Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage.
  • Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment.
  • Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods of the site in which employed and receiving incoming shipments.
  • Reports all accidents/incidents to Lead and designated Government Personnel.
  • Operates hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
