About The Position

The Warehouse Shipper and Receiver is responsible for picking and receiving product from warehouse shelves, ensuring accuracy in product description, size, type, quantity, and quality. This role assists the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator with loading and unloading trucks, checking in and putting away material, and ensuring overall order accuracy and quality. The position also involves maintaining yard inventory, completing necessary paperwork for accurate order picking and inventory management, and ensuring a smooth flow of product in and out of the warehouse. Safety regulations for powered equipment and warehouse racking must be followed, and periodic cycle counts and cleaning are required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid state issues driver's license
Minimum of 1 year of experience in order shipping/receiving
Minimum of 1 year of experience with sit-down/stand-up forklift
Be able to communicate effectively through both written and verbal communication
Following all safety policies, processes, and instructions so that work is carried out in a safe and consistent manner.
Ability to lift 50lbs, walk and stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

Monitor for deliveries and unload delivery trucks inspecting all material and noting damage or missing material.
Monitors for and completes pick ticket orders based on priority as directed by the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.
Ensures that orders are accurate.
Ensure all contents are loaded and secured ready for delivery drivers each day.
Follow all safety regulations for all powered equipment and warehouse racking required to complete daily tasks and ensure weight maximums are not exceeded.
Put away material as directed by the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.
Maintain yard inventory by ensuring pallets are organized and weather proofed. Sort and organize yard inventory as needed.
Complete paperwork so that the proper order is picked, and inventory is managed accurately.
Maintain flow of product in and out of warehouse.
Follow all safety standards.
Conduct periodic warehouse cycle counts and warehouse/yard cleaning.
Perform any reasonable request or work task as allocated by Warehouse Manager or other Senior Management.
