About The Position

The Warehouse Shipper and Receiver is responsible for picking and receiving product from warehouse shelves, ensuring accuracy of product description, size, type, quantity, and quality requirements. This role assists the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator by loading and unloading trucks, and checking-in/putting away material in the warehouse. The primary goals are to ensure order accuracy and quality.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in order shipping/receiving
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with sit-down/stand-up forklift
  • Ability to communicate effectively through both written and verbal communication
  • Following all safety policies, processes, and instructions so that work is carried out in a safe and consistent manner.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, walk and stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Monitor for deliveries and unload delivery trucks, inspecting all material and noting damage or missing material.
  • Monitor for and complete pick ticket orders based on priority as directed by the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.
  • Ensure that orders are accurate.
  • Ensure all contents are loaded and secured, ready for delivery drivers each day.
  • Follow all safety regulations for all powered equipment and warehouse racking required to complete daily tasks and ensure weight maximums are not exceeded.
  • Put away material as directed by the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.
  • Maintain yard inventory by ensuring pallets are organized and weather-proofed.
  • Sort and organize yard inventory as needed.
  • Complete paperwork so that the proper order is picked, and inventory is managed accurately.
  • Maintain flow of product in and out of warehouse.
  • Follow all safety standards.
  • Conduct periodic warehouse cycle counts and warehouse/yard cleaning.
  • Perform any reasonable request or work task as allocated by Warehouse Manager or other Senior Management.
