About The Position

The Warehouse Selector is responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting warehouse products and properly preparing shipments for customers. The role involves selecting products according to computer-generated labels and customer guidelines, building pallets, moving completed orders to staging areas, and following warehouse safety and confidentiality practices. The position works in a warehouse where temperatures may range from very cool to very warm, with exposure to outside weather conditions and typically low-to-moderate noise levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate well with internal customers and management.
• Ability to follow safe warehouse working practices as instructed.
• Ability to work efficiently in the warehouse without direct supervision.
• Ability to carry, lift, and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to sit, and frequently stand, walk, and climb in the warehouse.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment preferred.
• Previous experience operating powered warehouse industrial equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or stock pickers, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick up proper selecting documents before beginning order selection.
• Select and separate warehouse products by account and stop number as designated by computer-generated labels.
• Match product descriptions with label descriptions.
• Build pallets according to customer guidelines.
• Maintain production standards while minimizing errors.
• Transport completed orders to the appropriate warehouse staging area using a stand-up electric pallet jack.
• Return completed selecting documents to the collection site specified by the Shipping Department.
• Perform other warehouse duties and special projects as requested.
• Maintain good attendance.
• Follow safe work practices in the warehouse.
• Protect confidential warehouse company information.
