Publix is hiring a Warehouse Selector to select products ordered by its stores, place them onto pallets, wrap completed orders, and prepare them for loading onto delivery trucks. Selectors use warehouse technology to identify ordered products and locate them in the warehouse. The role involves frequent walking, lifting, bending, and stretching, and pay after training varies by output. Training pay is $19.28 per hour; training lasts 14 to 120 days depending on productivity, safety, and work quality. After training, the standard base pay rate is $24.10 per hour, and top performers can earn more than $30 per hour. A night differential of $0.75 per hour and a weekend differential of $2.00 per hour are available for qualifying hours worked. The work may take place in a high- or low-velocity warehouse, where temperatures can exceed 90°F for extended periods. Associates must work a rotating schedule that includes some weekends and holidays and may work fluctuating shifts as needed. A physical agility test may be required before the start date, as applicable. Pallet truck and forklift certification must be obtained on or before the start date in the position. Publix provides a year-end Holiday Bonus in November for eligible associates who remain employed through the bonus check’s issue date: 15 hours of pay in the first year of continuous employment, one week’s pay in the second year, and two weeks’ pay in subsequent years.
