About The Position

The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for receiving product and checking it for damage, verifying the product and quantities received against the purchase order (PO) and pallet label using reports generated from the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role is based at the SpartanNash Distribution Center in Norfolk, Virginia, and the listed starting rate is $19.50 per hour. The assignment is in a freezer environment of approximately -15° to -20°.

The position is classified as Career Framework Job Level W2. Work involves routine tasks with a moderate degree of supervision and some skills developed through training or work experience. The work can affect the team. Relevant experience is preferred.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and assigned.
• Ability to work in the assigned conditions for 8–10-hour shifts.
• Ability to perform the listed physical activities, including sitting, walking, standing, handling and grasping objects, operating foot controls, crouching, kneeling, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with possible exposure to changing temperatures and humidity; noise is usually moderate to high.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
