About The Position

River Valley Holdings is hiring a Warehouse Receiver to accurately and efficiently receive inbound freight and ensure its quality meets customer expectations. The Receiver reports to the First Shift Supervisor. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., and pays $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to read, speak, and understand English to understand supervisor instructions.
Organized, self-motivated, and able to communicate effectively.
Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Ability to use an RF gun.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
Able to lift 75 pounds consistently throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

Arrive on time for the scheduled shift.
Perform a pre-operation inspection of equipment used in receiving.
Accurately receive items and palletize them for put-away.
Follow HACCP requirements for refrigerated loads.
Follow company and SQF guidelines when handling products, including damaged cases found during receiving.
Wrap pallets properly to ensure stability throughout the warehouse.
Operate equipment safely at all times.
Verify the UPD, description, and pack size of items being received.
Perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor, such as selecting, cleaning, or replenishing bays.
