About The Position

Safety-Kleen Systems is hiring a Warehouse Production Operator in Metairie, Louisiana, to support daily warehouse and production operations. The role includes receiving and inspecting materials, verifying shipment accuracy against purchase orders and invoices, documenting damage or discrepancies, handling and staging inventory, preparing shipments, and maintaining organized storage areas. The operator follows company health and safety procedures to help ensure efficient warehouse operations. The position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which governs pay, schedule, and testing requirements. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with an hourly wage range of $16.83 to $22.44. Weekly overtime is available.

Requirements

1–3+ years of warehouse or manufacturing experience.
Ability to work in hot and cold weather conditions.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to work well in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage by comparing items with purchase orders or invoices and documenting discrepancies.
Load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other material-handling equipment.
Prepare outgoing shipments and load products onto trucks or containers for delivery.
Count, sort, organize, and store materials in designated locations while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Follow inventory labeling, tracking, and storage procedures.
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment accurately.
Use handheld scanners and warehouse technology to verify inventory and locate materials.
Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, proper packaging, and compliance with company standards.
Inspect products for damage before shipment and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation practices to reduce spoilage and product obsolescence.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse by sweeping floors, removing debris, and properly storing equipment.
Follow company health and safety procedures.
