About The Position

Farwest Steel Corporation is hiring a full-time, onsite Warehouse Person in Stockton, California, for a day-shift schedule, Monday through Friday. The position pays $19.00 to $29.25, depending on experience. The Warehouse Person safely and accurately fulfills orders using stock material or processed parts, loads and unloads trucks and railcars, and assists machine operators. The role also involves operating warehouse machines and equipment to meet customer needs, providing warehouse and inventory information to sales staff, and supporting timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Pull material, fill orders, and prepare material for delivery while emphasizing safety, accuracy, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
Keep orders filled to support on-time deliveries.
Move material from trucks and railcars and restock racks using company procedures and equipment that protect people and material.
Make every effort to track material and heat numbers for certification; rotate material and keep it accessible.
Assist machine operators and prepare parts for packaging and delivery according to customer requirements and safe-transport practices.
Operate warehouse machines and equipment.
Drive trucks around the bays.
Attend safety and production meetings and monitor tools and equipment to support safe operation and minimize downtime.
Assist will-call customers by filling and loading their material professionally.
Assist sales staff with warehouse and inventory questions and issues.
