About The Position

The Warehouse Person maintains the building’s appearance according to Distribution’s Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures and helps ensure products are accessible for safe selection and delivery to stores. The associate works with multiple groups to clean industrial equipment, tractor trailers, and facility floors; sort recycling materials; and reduce shrink by collecting damaged cases, sorting products, repackaging them, and properly labeling cases. Work follows a Master Sanitation Schedule, and completed tasks are documented. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. The position is in a High Velocity Warehouse, where temperatures could exceed 90°F for an extended period. Associates may be eligible for a Holiday Bonus based on continuous employment and may receive night and weekend differentials for qualifying scheduled or worked hours.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Successfully complete a Work Attitude Survey.
Be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations on or before the position’s start date.
Be able to use cleaning chemicals and powered industrial equipment requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Be able to lift, carry, and stack product weighing 67 pounds for High Velocity.
Be able to stand, bend, stoop, and twist and perform repetitive work for long periods.
Operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside the operator compartment.
Be able to work under strict time requirements.
Be able to read, write, and identify and verify numbers.
Be able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.

Holiday Bonus: 15 hours of pay in the first year of continuous employment, one week’s pay in the second year, and two weeks’ pay in subsequent years, subject to the stated employment-through-issuance condition for the first two years.
