About The Position

The Warehouse Person supports warehouse and receiving operations by handling receiving documentation, maintaining inventory, inspecting merchandise, and distributing goods. The role includes manual labor in warehouse and receiving dock areas, including loading, unloading, and moving goods. The Warehouse Person may operate a forklift and drive a warehouse truck as needed, and must maintain confidentiality in company matters.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency and literacy in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, dolly, and carts safely and efficiently.

• Previous shipping and receiving experience.

Responsibilities

• Enter and review receiving documentation.
• Perform month-end inventories.
• Assist with counts and weight checks and maintain par stock levels.
• Stock items in designated areas and rotate stock using first-in, first-out procedures.
• Inspect merchandise.
• Maintain a clean inventory work area.
• Verify vendor documentation against merchandise and purchase orders.
• Load, unload, and move goods in warehouse and receiving dock areas as needed.
• Distribute merchandise to the appropriate outlets.
• Operate a forklift and drive a warehouse truck as needed.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in company matters.
