Warehouse Person - Deerfield Beach
About The Position
The Warehouse Person maintains the building’s appearance according to Distribution’s Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures and helps ensure products are accessible for safe selection and delivery to stores. The role works with multiple groups to clean industrial equipment, tractor trailers, and facility floors; sort recycling materials; and reduce shrink by collecting damaged cases, sorting and repackaging products, and properly labeling cases. Work is completed according to a Master Sanitation Schedule, and completed tasks are documented. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
- Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations on or before the position’s start date.
- Be able to use cleaning chemicals and powered industrial equipment that require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Be able to lift, carry, and stack products weighing 65 pounds for Fleet Maintenance; 67 pounds for Return Center, Frozen Foods, and Produce; or 85 pounds for Boxed Meat/Dairy.
- Be able to stand, bend, stoop, and twist, and perform repetitive work for long periods.
- Operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside the operator compartment.
- Work under strict time requirements.
- Read, write, and identify and verify numbers.
- Interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
Responsibilities

Benefits
- Holiday bonus in November: 15 hours of pay in the first year of continuous employment, one week’s pay in the second year, and two weeks’ pay in subsequent years, subject to the stated employment-through-issuance conditions.
- Night differential of $0.75 per hour for associates regularly scheduled to work hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m.
- Freezer differential of $0.50 per hour for associates regularly scheduled in the Frozen Food freezer.
- Weekend differential of $2.00 per hour for hours worked from 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
