Warehouse Selector - Deerfield Beach
About The Position
Publix Super Markets is a leading privately-owned supermarket chain in the US, known for its financial stability, growth, community involvement, and commitment to diversity. As a Warehouse Selector, you will determine your own earnings based on the efficiency and safety of your work. Selectors are constantly engaged in physical activity, making this role a great workout. You will pull products ordered by Publix stores, palletize them, wrap the orders, and prepare them for truck delivery. State-of-the-art technology assists Selectors in identifying ordered products and their locations within the warehouse. Warehouse Selectors are crucial team members in maintaining stock levels for over 1,200 Publix store locations. The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Work a rotating schedule which includes some weekends and holidays.
- Work fluctuating shifts, when needed.
- Select, lift, carry and stack product weighing 67 pounds for Frozen Foods and Produce.
- Select, lift, carry and stack product weighing 85 pounds for Boxed Meat/Dairy.
- Stand, bend, and stoop and do repetitive work for long periods of time.
- Operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside of the operator compartment.
- Perform job duties efficiently, accurately, and safely.
- Read, write, and identify and verify numbers.
- Interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
- Pass a Physical Agility Test, as applicable.

- Certification in pallet truck and forklift operations, after training
