About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a second-shift Warehouse Package Handler at its Shepherdsville, Kentucky distribution center. Warehouse staff support order processing and delivery to customers. No prior experience is required; the company provides training. The work is physically demanding, requires being on your feet throughout the shift, and involves lifting up to 100 pounds. Pay starts at $21.13 per hour, including a $1.00 second-shift premium, with two pay raises in the first year and the opportunity to earn more per hour based on speed, production, and efficiency. The regular workweek is Sunday through Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off. The second shift begins at 7:30 p.m. and runs until work is finished; shift hours may vary with work volume. Employees must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed, and work in extreme cold or hot conditions. The role requires reading, writing, and communicating in English for warehouse and company information and instructions. Applicants must pass a drug test and background check.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
No prior experience required; training is provided.
Able to remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.
Able to lift up to 100 pounds.
Able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions.
Able to read, write, and communicate in English to read labels, pick lists, scanner information, signage, company website information, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions.
Able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
