Warehouse Order Selector/Picker
About The Position
Fills orders for grocery stores using a pallet jack and a voice-activated headset. Receives, stores, and distributes material, equipment, and products within establishments according to specified work rate requirements. This is a safety-sensitive position. The role involves assembling customer orders from stock and placing them on pallets, operating industrial double pallet jacks or power forklifts for moving materials, and loading/unloading materials. It also includes sorting and storing items, including perishable goods in refrigerated rooms, and using a computer to enter records. The work environment includes freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse conditions. The ability to read, speak, and write English is necessary to operate the Lucas system and follow safety rules.
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older and able to work weekends.
- Must be able to pass a 90 lbs over the head lift test.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 90 lbs.
- Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures (from room temp to -30°).
- Ability to read, speak and write English to operate a Lucas system and follow safety rules.

- Operates industrial double pallet jack or power fork lift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Responsibilities
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets using the Lucas system.
- Operate industrial double pallet jack or power forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Lift heavy objects by hand or with power jack.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Lift heavy product from shelf to pallet jack.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
- Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
- Use computer to enter records.
- Work in a freezer, cooler and dry warehouse environment.
- Take orders to loading dock for shipment.
- Perform manual case selection using Lucas headset system and double electric pallet jack.
