About The Position

The Warehouse Operator supports warehouse operations by moving materials and supplies, assisting with customer loading and unloading, inventory counts, and order fulfillment. The role involves operating a forklift and performing a range of physical activities in a fast-paced environment. The operator is also responsible for keeping the work area organized and clean and marking materials with identifying information. CMC offers training and advancement opportunities and describes its work as supporting construction reinforcement, steel products, and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform physical activities including pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, climbing, and kneeling.
Operate a forklift to move material and supplies as required.
Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
Assist with unloading and loading customers.
Assist with counting physical inventory.
Assist with filling work and shipping orders.
Work as a team player in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and maintaining attention to detail and organizational skills.
Maintain an organized and clean work area and location.
Mark materials with identifying information using an appropriate method.
Perform other duties as assigned in general support of the organization.
