About The Position

The Warehouse Operator moves, gathers, sorts, stages, and prepares products and materials for shipment. The role uses warehouse schedules, orders, and requisitions to identify items and quantities, and may involve operating forklifts, clamp trucks, or other powered equipment. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The listed duties are essential functions and may be performed with reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

High school education or GED equivalency.
Minimum 3 to 6 months of experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
Previous experience operating a forklift.
Ability to follow safety regulations while operating equipment.
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to learn proper operation of warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of products are loaded.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Assemble customer orders from stock, stage orders, and/or convey orders to the packing station or shipping department according to the order or customer pick sheet.
Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered equipment.
