About The Position

The Warehouse Operator is a front-line member of Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s warehousing team, supporting successful delivery of final products within the Purina Animal Nutrition business. The role includes coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries, selecting and preparing products for delivery, assisting with cycle counts, and keeping warehouse areas organized. The operator uses a forklift daily and may operate other plant machinery and equipment as needed. This is a union-facility position covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The stated pay is $27.35 per hour, plus a shift differential of $0.80 per hour. The scheduled shift is 2nd shift, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekends, overtime, and holidays may be needed, and hours are subject to business needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 1 year of warehousing experience.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to learn new skills, solve problems, and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, and a respectful approach.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to perform frequent active movements, including walking, standing, bending or stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, and climbing.
• Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work for extended periods in cold and/or hot temperature zones, potentially in areas with dust and chemicals.

Nice To Haves

• 2 or more years of warehousing work experience.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety processes and insist on safe practices by self and others.
• Arrive on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
• Process work orders by selecting the correct products from racks, palletizing and shrink-wrapping them, and staging orders for delivery.
• Keep pace with warehousing demands in a fast-paced environment while multitasking.
• Follow all standard operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Obtain and maintain successful forklift certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
