About The Position

The Warehouse Operator works at PURIS’s Dawson, Minnesota facility, a large pea protein manufacturing plant that produces ingredients for food products. The role supports warehouse operations by managing inventory, assisting with month-end processes, resolving issues related to shipped orders, and loading products onto scheduled vehicles for timely customer delivery. The position requires a strong focus on safety and attention to detail in a food manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of shipping experience.
Prior fork truck experience.
Familiarity with logistics.
Knowledge of loading and unloading best practices.
Adaptability, attention to detail, and a safety-oriented approach.
Ability to understand processes and independently follow through with them.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more with assistance.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and machinery.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed.
Comfort working in varying temperatures, including hot, cold, and humid conditions.
Ability to wear required PPE, including gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots.
Visual and auditory ability to detect safety hazards and machine malfunctions.
Ability to push, pull, squat, kneel, or twist as needed during a shift.
Ability to perform repetitive motions consistently and safely.
May need to sit or operate forklifts or machinery for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of GMPs and food safety is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage warehouse inventory and support the Inventory Coordinator with month-end processes.
Assist in resolving issues regarding shipped orders.
Load product onto scheduled vehicles to ensure timely delivery to customers.
Perform other tasks as required.
