About The Position

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., is an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants. With over 100 years of experience, they serve independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships. This role involves providing leadership to assigned personnel, ensuring a safe working environment, and driving process improvement initiatives. The position requires checking in and stocking products, picking and loading trucks for deliveries, handling returns, managing outbound freight, and potentially assisting with paperwork for warranty products and customer/inventory transfers. The supervisor may also operate power equipment and serve as a backup driver.

Requirements

  • 3 years of related experience
  • Skills and experience sufficient to supervise assistant receivers and helpers
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems
  • Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice
  • Good memory and scanning abilities
  • Good communication and math skills
  • Able to lift up to 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis
  • Able to learn to use a forklift
  • May require valid drivers license and conformance with company driver policy
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require U.S. Venture’s sponsorship to continue to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
  • Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements.
  • Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
  • Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Assists with process improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures.
  • Continually enforces productivity standards.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and communication
  • Receiving: Check in product completely and accurately
  • Stock products correctly
  • Loading: Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries
  • Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety
  • Returns: Inspect and physically count returned merchandise
  • Restock inventory in appropriate place
  • Outbound freight of vender returns
  • Paperwork for all warranty product
  • Unloading of customer/inventory transfers from corporate warehouses
  • Operate power equipment, including fork-lift
  • May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed
