About The Position

The Warehouse Operations Lead assists in coordinating and supervising daily warehouse activities under the direction of the Operations Supervisor. The role directs employee work assignments in alignment with company service and cost objectives and supports warehouse leadership in meeting safety, quality, and productivity goals. It also provides hands-on material handling and forklift support, helps maintain safe and efficient equipment operation, trains employees on operational procedures, and contributes to process improvement and warehouse organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System.
• Computer application skills using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and exercise good judgment in stressful situations.
• Good visual acuity to inspect shipments.
• Ability to enter computer data to create daily inventory reports.
• Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received.
• Strong time management, organizational, planning, and self-motivation skills.
• Material handling equipment (MHE) experience or willingness to learn MHE.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with shift leadership to accomplish shift goals.
• Oversee and coordinate warehouse processes, including receiving, put away, picking, and loading products.
• Direct employee work assignments.
• Provide daily hands-on support with material handling and forklift responsibilities.
• Drive compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership objectives.
• Suggest process improvements to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally, orally and in writing, with internal and external partners.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management and assist in finding solutions.
• Ensure the efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Train new and current employees on operational SOPs and work instructions.
• Keep the warehouse clean and orderly, including organizing and rotating inventory, maintaining product labels, sweeping, and assisting with staging delivery orders.
• Ensure products are stored safely and in the proper place.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager.
