About The Position

The Warehouse Operations Lead assists in coordinating and supervising daily warehouse activities under the direction of the Operations Supervisor. The role directs employee work assignments in alignment with company service and cost objectives and provides hands-on support with material handling and forklift responsibilities. The Lead helps ensure warehouse processes, equipment, inventory, and work areas are managed safely and efficiently while supporting the warehouse leadership team’s safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System.
• Computer application skills using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
• Good visual acuity to inspect shipments.
• Ability to input computer data to create a daily inventory report.
• Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received.
• Strong time management, organizational, planning, and self-motivation skills.
• Material handling equipment (MHE) experience or willingness to learn MHE.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with shift leadership to accomplish shift goals.
• Oversee and coordinate warehouse processes, including receiving, put away, picking, and loading products.
• Direct work assignments to employees.
• Provide daily hands-on support in material handling and forklift responsibilities.
• Drive compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives.
• Brainstorm and suggest process improvements to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally, orally and in writing, with internal and external partners.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management and assist in finding solutions to problem areas.
• Ensure efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment.
• Train new and current employees on operational SOPs and WIs.
• Keep the warehouse clean and orderly, including organizing and rotating inventory, maintaining product labels, sweeping the warehouse, and assisting with staging orders for delivery.
• Ensure products are stored safely and in the proper place.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager.
