About The Position

The Warehouse Operations Lead assists in coordinating and supervising daily warehouse activities. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Lead directs work assignments in line with company service and cost objectives and supports the warehouse leadership team in meeting safety, quality, and productivity goals. The role includes hands-on material handling and forklift work, coordinating warehouse processes, training employees on operational procedures, and maintaining safe, orderly, and secure warehouse operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
• Good visual acuity to inspect shipments.
• Ability to input data on a computer to create a daily inventory report.
• Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received.
• Strong time management, organizational, planning, and self-motivation skills.
• Material handling equipment experience or willingness to learn material handling equipment.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with shift leadership to accomplish shift goals.
• Oversee and coordinate warehouse processes, including receiving, put away, picking, and loading products.
• Direct work assignments to employees.
• Provide daily hands-on support with material handling and forklift responsibilities.
• Drive compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership objectives.
• Brainstorm and suggest process improvement ideas to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally, orally and in writing, with internal and external partners.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management and assist in finding solutions.
• Ensure efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Train new and current employees on operational SOPs and WIs.
• Keep the warehouse clean and orderly, including organizing and rotating inventory, maintaining product labels, sweeping, and assisting with staging delivery orders.
• Ensure products are stored safely and in the proper place.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager.
