Warehouse Operations Lead
About The Position
Concordance Healthcare Solutions is hiring a full-time Operations Lead - Shipping in Chicago, Illinois. The role aids the leadership and direction of warehouse operations, serves as backup for the supervisor when absent, and assists team members in their roles. This is an internal promotional opportunity available only to current Concordance Healthcare Solutions employees. The Operations Lead performs warehouse team-member tasks while providing leadership by example. The role includes learning and performing warehouse tasks using the VAI computer system and voice pick, running route sheets, locating lost product, placing replenishments in transit, and ensuring transfers are completed on time. The lead also assists with new-employee training, communicates observed issues to the immediate supervisor, supports good housekeeping and safe, efficient, respectful teamwork, and follows company and departmental policies. Other duties may be assigned. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois, and pays $18.50–$19.50 per hour. The role requires standing for the entire shift, often for more than eight hours, and lifting, pulling, or carrying at least 50 pounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent previous attendance history.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and customer-service oriented.
- Able to operate warehouse equipment and powered trucks as needed.
- Able to lift, pull, or carry at least 50 pounds.
- Able to stand for the entire shift, often for more than eight hours.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Accurate and attentive to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient math skills.
- Problem-solving and resolution skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and often stressful environment.
- Ability to act with diplomacy and tact in stressful situations.
- Works well with others.
- Successfully pass a post-offer background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in VAI as it pertains to warehouse functions is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership by example while performing warehouse team-member tasks.
- Learn and perform warehouse tasks, including using the VAI computer system and voice pick, running route sheets, finding lost product, putting replenishments in transit, and ensuring transfers are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist in training new employees on voice pick and general operations.
- Communicate observed issues or concerns to the immediate supervisor for investigation.
- Follow good housekeeping procedures and provide leadership in all areas.
- Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Work safely, efficiently, and respectfully with fellow associates to promote company goals, profitability, and the common good.
- Act as backup to the supervisor in their absence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
