About The Position

The Warehouse/Facilities Operations Assistant provides general facility support and serves as a backup to the Security Operations Department Manager. This role is responsible for all warehouse/dock services, including shipping and receiving, mail/package deliveries, warehousing, and inventory of pharmacy and general office supplies. The position also works with building service vendors to ensure a safe and secure work environment, with an emphasis on the protection of people, property, and products, and on Warehouse/Dock Safety.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in facility, warehousing or safety work
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1-year prior experience with dock equipment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively
  • The ability to always provide quality customer service to clients and colleagues.
  • Follows all established Client policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow oral/written instructions: communicate effectively with Management, colleagues, and external customers.
  • Experience with dock operation equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other dock equipment.
  • Experience managing supplies inventory.
  • Prior experience in shipping and receiving an added plus

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Microsoft software, such as Word and Excel, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, warehousing, and supplies inventory management.
  • Use of Dock equipment such as Pallet Jacks, electric pallet jacks, and other dock-related equipment.
  • Process incoming and outgoing UPS, FedEx, courier deliveries, etc., and deliver packages and boxes to office recipients.
  • Provide general facility support by fulfilling routine light maintenance work, room setup, moving office equipment, and furniture.
  • Works with internal/external stakeholders and provides general support.
  • Make routine checks of the facility and equipment, ensuring safety and security.
  • Perform any necessary follow-up tasks to ensure the facility is secure.
  • Assist in all emergencies such as fire alarms, tornado warnings, medical emergencies, etc.
  • Monitor and implement established security and facility policies and procedures for all employees, guests, and vendors, which includes providing access capabilities, identification badges for controlled entry to the facility, and monitoring the facility and perimeter parking areas.
  • Make routine checks of the facility, ensuring safety and security. Complete interior and exterior building patrols 3-4 times each shift, noting any irregularities. Checking all secured areas, including computer and data rooms, and electrical closets throughout AssistRx property.
  • Train and work within the Brivosecurity database or similar. Load access cards in the system when required and add/delete access as needed. Be able to run database reports when requested by the department's Security Manager. Work with established access groups within the security database.
  • Assist in all emergency situations such as fire alarms, tornado warnings, medical emergencies, etc. Serve as the point of contact and chief warden during drills and live emergencies at the facility. Be Familiar with all assembly areas and escape routes, and coordinate drills annually.
  • Assist HR and Security management on termination requests. Prepared to stand by and give assistance as needed. Keep Security Management apprised and updated on all situations involving terminations. Ensure terminations are escorted from the building and leave the property.
  • Generate and submit security incident reports as needed. Reports must be written and turned into Security Management promptly.
  • Perform all aspects of the CCTV system within the facility. Must be able to monitor and pull recorded video when requested by Security Management. The officer may be requested to pull video to send to the Security Manager (only) for review.
  • Provide daily checks of the facility CCTV system.
  • Take instructions and complete tasks as needed.
  • Flexible to work overtime with the ability to stand post for long periods of time when needed.
  • Assist with generating facility Work Orders and provide the necessary follow-up until the work order is completed.
  • General customer service work that involves greeting and assisting visitors, employees, and vendors.
  • Take photographs and process new-hire photo IDs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
