About The Position

Great Northern – Chippewa Falls is hiring a Forklift Operator for its manufacturing team. The position works in the warehouse and involves operating an industrial forklift to handle raw materials and products, prepare customer pickups and shipments, and support quality and safety procedures. Available schedules are first shift, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; or second shift, Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Starting pay is $22.75 per hour, with an additional $1.50 per hour for second- or third-shift work. Responsibilities

Load products for customer pickup and prepare Common Carrier, UPS, RPS, and Federal Express deliveries for shipment.
Operate an industrial forklift to unload and load raw materials and products from trucks and trailers, checking materials and counts for quality.
Follow quality procedures for accuracy and quality, including randomly checking at least one order per day.
Safely change LP tanks according to written guidelines or recharge an electric forklift as needed.
Shrink-wrap units as needed for shipment.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
