About The Position

The Warehouse Materials Handler II assists warehouse operations by inspecting, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and maintaining an organized, clean work area. The role supports production by managing materials in warehouse locations, operating forklifts, and preparing outgoing shipments.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
Ability to operate forklifts.
Ability to operate a pallet stretch-wrapping machine.
Ability to operate a cardboard baling machine.
Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Experience reporting on key inventory control metrics.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
Outstanding communication ability.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Attention to detail.
Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Six Sigma and Lean concepts.

Responsibilities

Perform random and initial inspections on incoming material according to the Incoming Inspection Process.
Receive material into designated warehouse locations using a computer or WMS scanner.
Use the inventory control system to receive, transfer, and manage materials.
Operate forklifts to move material weighing up to and possibly exceeding 2,000 pounds and to supply production areas.
Maintain cleanliness in warehouse storage areas, including loading docks and outdoor storage areas.
Assist with disposal of waste material created by the production process.
Prepare outgoing shipments using protective materials such as pallet stretch-wrap, pallet banding, and edge protectors.
Organize warehouse materials to support production teams.
