About The Position

Solar Landscape is seeking a proactive, hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations and related office and facility management activities. The role is responsible for warehouse setup and organization, receiving and storing materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, distributing materials, and supporting office and facility needs. The manager will guide warehouse personnel and/or third-party logistics providers, set daily priorities, and ensure safe, reliable material flow. In collaboration with other teams, the role will maintain operational standards, improve warehouse processes, and provide office and facility support. This is an on-site position in the Greater Chicago area of Illinois. Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or distribution, including responsibility for warehouse layout and daily operations.
Demonstrated experience coordinating warehouse personnel, third-party logistics providers, or service vendors.
Working knowledge of material receiving, storage, inventory control, cycle counting, shipping, and material handling.
Experience using an ERP or warehouse management system to manage inventory transactions and maintain accurate records.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive operational improvements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a hands-on warehouse environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds as required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in construction, electrical, industrial, or renewable energy environments, particularly managing project materials and deliveries.
Experience supervising warehouse employees or managing third-party logistics operations.
Familiarity with Dynamics 365 or other ERP/WMS platforms.
Experience implementing warehouse KPIs, inventory controls, process improvements, and warehouse layouts.
Experience coordinating facility maintenance, service vendors, or office administration.
Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Manage daily warehouse activities, including planning, receiving, inspection, storage, material handling, order fulfillment, and project deliveries and shipments.
Lead warehouse personnel and oversee third-party logistics providers to support safe, efficient, and timely operations.
Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability; conduct cycle counts; and manage returns, damaged materials, and discrepancies.
Coordinate material readiness, staging, and dispatch to support project schedules and operational requirements.
Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse while improving productivity, processes, and cost efficiency.
Establish and monitor warehouse KPIs, inventory accuracy, service levels, and operating costs, and address performance gaps.
Coordinate facility maintenance, property management, service vendors, office supplies, and routine administrative needs with internal teams.
