About The Position

The Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, shipping, receiving, and distribution activities. This role ensures operational efficiency, accuracy, safety, and compliance while leading a team of warehouse personnel to meet organizational goals and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and warehouse software.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, and carrying materials.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Forklift certification is preferred or the ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Lead, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure productivity, safety, and adherence to company policies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records through warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders and shipments.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping issues, and operational challenges.
  • Monitor warehouse performance metrics and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Schedule labor and allocate resources to meet operational demands.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of products to minimize damage and loss.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and warehouse operational planning.
  • Prepare reports on warehouse activities, inventory status, productivity, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
