Warehouse Leader with CDL/Material Handler - Birmingham, AL
About The Position
East Penn Mfg., a world class leader in automotive battery manufacturing is currently seeking a "hands-on" Warehouse Lead preferably with a CDL-B license for our warehouse in Birmingham, Alabama. Starting hourly wage between $24.25 - $26.40 per hour, or more depending on industry experience. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training. Plus a $2,500 Sign-On/Retention Bonus for CDL Drivers!
Requirements
- Must be highly motivated and have good communication skills.
- Candidate may be requested to work overtime.
- Forklift experience required on both stand up and sit down forklifts.
- Must be highly motivated with good communication and computer skills, and be able to work with others.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in day to day operations with responsibilities including shipping/receiving, inventory, and material handling duties.
- Pulling (physical lifting) orders, loading and unloading of trucks, load batteries for customers and may make occasional non-CDL deliveries.
- Deliver and pick up freight from specified customer locations, such as warehouses, retail stores, dealerships, and small businesses.
- Act as a Backup Driver, driving a diesel or gasoline powered straight van with a gross vehicle weight rating of up to 33,000 GVW.
