About The Position

The Warehouse Lead supports the California Closets Brand Experience and helps create a healthy, cohesive work environment. This role coaches and leads warehouse associates by example, helping teammates complete their daily tasks while also handling the lead’s own duties. Responsibilities may vary by department and can include shipping and receiving, packaging, inventory control, general warehouse functions, and material handling operations such as forklift operation. The Warehouse Lead provides backup to the supervisor as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
3–4 years of team leadership experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
Experience supporting supply chain demands.
Hi-lo/forklift license.

Responsibilities

Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing layout changes, inspecting equipment, issuing repair work orders, and requesting replacements.
Track and analyze ongoing projects in coordination with the Warehouse Manager, delegate tasks, and share results with the team.
Receive and stage materials for customer jobs at company-owned locations.
Ensure appropriate procedures and standards are established and followed.
Examine materials to verify required specifications and stock them in designated warehouse areas.
Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers, and conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training.
Safely operate powered industrial equipment, including clamp/slip-sheet equipment, to move, load, unload, and store products or materials.
Ensure material-handling procedures are followed and model and train the team on PPE best practices.
Provide backup to other warehouse roles as needed.
