About The Position

The Warehouse Lead partners with Operations Leadership to ensure all warehouse functions are completed. The role assigns and directs work for warehouse associates to help meet company and customer standards for service, quality, safety, and productivity. The Warehouse Lead may also perform warehouse associate duties, including loading and unloading, forklift operation, and product relocation. The position works Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kg; required weight may be greater depending on the facility.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
• Comfort working with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and direct the work of warehouse associates within a designated area.
• Report defective or damaged products and follow up with appropriate corrective action in a timely manner.
• Manage warehouse associate responsibilities as needed, including loading and unloading, forklift operation, and product relocation.
• Handle and document daily inspections, including equipment inspections and inbound and outbound trailer inspections.
• Check inbound and outbound shipments for compliance and report quantity differences and quality issues where applicable.
• Maintain communication with Traffic and Customer Service.
• Coach warehouse associates and provide feedback.
• Perform assigned projects as instructed.
