About The Position

The Warehouse Lead supports management and is a next step in an associate’s path to management. The role helps oversee a specified work area to maintain consistent workflow and meet customer expectations, while learning all aspects of receiving, unloading, and loading operations in a warehouse facility. Work may be performed independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision, and involves direct contact with customers’ staff and outside delivery personnel, with an emphasis on positive, friendly interactions. The position also includes yard marshalling duties and moving pallets and cases on and off trailers and other vehicles using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.

Requirements

• High-energy individual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and very physical environment.
• Ability to lift and carry 25–75 pounds; materials handled vary.

• Prior warehouse and/or equipment experience is preferred; the employer is willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift meetings.
• Lead stretching exercises before each shift.
• Perform safety observations.
• Support management.
• Coach and train associates.
• Communicate with leadership.
• Perform yard marshalling duties.
