About The Position

Certco, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Janitor for its Femrite Drive facility in Madison, Wisconsin. This hands-on role helps keep the workplace clean, presentable, safe, and ready for the next shift. The Janitor cleans and sanitizes offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, break rooms, public areas, and other parts of the building, and may also maintain exterior areas, green space, and the parking lot. The position requires routine and non-routine cleaning, responding to urgent upkeep requests, and working with minimal supervision while following safety procedures. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Pay is $17–$18 per hour.

Requirements

• Experience with proper cleaning techniques.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to stay active and complete routine cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team.
• 1–2 years of experience in a janitorial position.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain offices, break rooms, meeting rooms, restrooms, public areas, and other common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces.
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Collect and properly dispose of garbage and recycling daily.
• Perform general cleanup throughout the building as directed.
• Operate an electric sweeper.
• Maintain exterior areas, green space, and the parking lot.
• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders.
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
• Perform basic upkeep, such as replacing light bulbs and air fresheners.
• Follow established safety procedures and handle cleaning products appropriately.
• Identify areas needing attention and help maintain a clean, organized facility.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with the Company Attendance Policy.
