About The Position

The Janitor for the 3rd Shift maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the facilities during overnight hours. The role involves thoroughly cleaning and maintaining designated areas to support the health and safety of employees and visitors. The janitor performs routine cleaning, handles waste disposal, and addresses immediate maintenance needs during the shift. Working independently with minimal supervision, the janitor is expected to be self-motivated and detail-oriented, helping create a welcoming and hygienic environment that supports operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment operation.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Previous janitorial or custodial services experience, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to operate floor-cleaning machines such as buffers and scrubbers.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and other facility areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Monitor and replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms and common areas.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security concerns observed during the shift to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment after use.
