About The Position

This is an entry-level, non-skilled general labor position in a Material Handling Loadout or Freezer facility. The role involves receiving product, moving it from conveyors to pallets, stacking and consolidating product for freezer inventory, and preparing product for shipment. Employees may work in different departments and are expected to cross-train and perform other duties as assigned. The position requires working A Shift with variable hours, in a fast-paced environment and extreme cold, dry conditions. Employees must follow Tyson policies and safety procedures and wear required safety equipment. Days off may vary Monday through Saturday, and some weekend work is required.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to work A Shift with variable hours.
Must be willing and able to work in extreme cold and dry conditions.
Must be able to push and pull repeatedly and carry or lift up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to stand 8–10 hours per day and use hands and arms above shoulder level.
Must be able to perform required physical activities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to work some weekends; days off may vary Monday through Saturday.
Must be willing and able to work safely and cross-train in different areas.

Responsibilities

Receive product and transfer it from conveyors to pallets.
Stack product onto pallets for entry into the Freezer Inventory System.
Consolidate partially stacked product.
Operate inverters and machine wrappers.
Manually pull spacers from frozen product.
Operate mules to load product onto trailers for shipment.
Apply stickers to export product.
Maintain good housekeeping practices.
Work safely in a fast-paced environment while wearing required safety equipment.
Cross-train in different areas and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
