Warehouse Forklift Operator - Utility 1st Shift
About The Position
The Receiving Utility is responsible for accurately putting away product in designated locations throughout the Distribution Center. Operators use a cherry picker-style lift and RF scanners to identify, locate, and store products. The position requires safely operating the lift at heights of up to 40 feet, moving staged product from the dock to the appropriate storage racks, and cooperating with team members to complete tasks and achieve goals. The role also contributes to a workplace culture that champions honesty, integrity, diversity, and community, and includes other duties as assigned. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed, and an 8:00 a.m. start time. The job requires flexibility to work hours determined by departmental needs, including weekend availability. The listed starting pay is $18.00–$20.00 per hour based on experience; the posting also gives an expected base pay of $20.00 per hour based on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience in a warehouse atmosphere.
- Experience operating forklift and/or cherry picker equipment.
- Comfort working at heights up to 40 feet.
- Availability for flexible hours based on departmental needs, including weekends.
- Ability to pass a physical assessment with a push or pull requirement of up to 250 pounds.
- Ability to communicate proactively and effectively, comprehend and communicate detailed instructions, read and write, and understand commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures required by the position.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a cherry picker lift up to 40 feet in the air.
- Use RF scanners to identify and locate product.
- Load staged product from the dock area onto the cherry picker lift.
- Move product from the lift into the proper locations on storage racks.
- Cooperate with team members to complete tasks and set goals.
