About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Stand Up Reach Truck Operator in Dekalb, Illinois. The role supports warehouse and distribution operations handling candy products in a clean, organized facility focused on safety. The schedule is Wednesday from 11:15 AM to 5:15 PM and Thursday through Saturday from 5:15 AM to 4:45 PM. Pay is $20.30 per hour, paid weekly. Training and support are provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid certified Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in a diverse work environment.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors.
• Thoroughness and dependability; punctuality and a good attendance record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative and accuracy, including under pressure.
• Ability to lift and/or push or pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work using health and safety methods.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule on various work shifts.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions that may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within the performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load and unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork, such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects related to the automated packing system during the core production shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
