About The Position

Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company with over 100 years of experience. As a leading global manufacturer of woven textiles, we specialize in residential and contract-grade fabrics for various clients. This position is for the 1st shift with a base pay of $16.40 per hour. Additional shift premiums are available for 2nd and 3rd shifts, as well as an attendance bonus that can increase the hourly rate.

Requirements

Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
Basic reading, writing, and math.
Computer data entry skills.
Forklift license required.

Responsibilities

Receive, store, inventory, and retrieve yarn and other supplies and materials.
Perform a daily walk through with a checklist.
Load and unload yarn.
Receive and record yarn as delivered.
Weigh % of each shipment, put on the correct label, and place in the proper location.
Assist in inventory control.
Receive size, and/or chemicals as delivered.
Keep the warehouse clean and orderly on a daily basis.
Do cycle count on closed case inventory.
Work scheduled overtime.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Stage non-compliant products for return to vendor and/or disposal.
Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately, including damage to the powered industrial truck.
Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
Maintain 5 S standards.
Wear ear protection in high noise areas.
