About The Position

Valdese Weavers offers a positive, productive, and progressive environment, along with excellent benefits. This role is in the Sample Department and reports to the Department Supervisor. The pay rate is $16.40 per hour, with a potential of $17.02 including shift premium and attendance bonus. The primary responsibility is to cut fabric to the correct size for various samples and memos.
Requirements
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
- Good reading, writing, and basic math skills.
Responsibilities
- Roll out fabric to measure, mark and cut requested size on pattern sheet.
- Check to make sure the sample is woven correctly.
- Check if the sample is railroaded or not and cut accordingly.
- Cut samples needed on a pinking machine based on specifications.
- Help pull colorlines for shipping.
- Help sew headers on colorlines.
- Work scheduled overtime.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
- Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
- Maintain 5 S standards.
