About The Position

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift or other powered material handling equipment (MHE) to move, stack, or pick/pull merchandise. The role may cover all phases of warehousing as needed, including shipping, receiving, inventorying, product repackaging, palletizing, and equipment operation. The employee operates equipment according to prescribed work methods and OSHA standards, including daily inspections and maintenance. Responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound products, storing and staging merchandise, preparing shipments, and maintaining records for inventory control and security. The work takes place in indoor shop and outdoor environments and involves frequent physical activity, including lifting and carrying items.

Requirements

At least 6 months of verifiable work experience within the prior 36 months operating material handling equipment required for the role, such as a sit-down or stand-up forklift, reach truck, or cherry/order picker.
Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Ability to carry and climb a ladder.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day.
Ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently.
Ability to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with prescribed work methods and OSHA standards, including daily inspection and maintenance.
Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using powered material handling equipment and its lifting devices.
Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage locations.
Stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy for loading and shipments.
Move products from staging or storage areas into trailers or containers.
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
Perform pick-and-pack, light assembly, labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
Maintain appropriate records and reports to support inventory control and security measures.
Assist with physical inventories as needed.
