About The Position

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other powered material handling equipment to move, stack, and pick or pull merchandise. Work may cover all phases of warehousing, depending on operational needs, including shipping, receiving, inventorying, product repackaging, palletizing, and forklift operation. Duties and activities may change at any time, with or without notice.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of verifiable work experience within the prior 36 months operating material handling equipment required for the role, such as a sit-down or stand-up forklift, reach truck, or cherry/order picker.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to carry and climb a ladder.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods: at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day.
• Ability to frequently twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch.
• Ability to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards, including daily inspection and maintenance.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using powered material handling equipment and its lifting devices.
• Safely unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locations.
• Stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy for loading and shipments.
• Move products from staging or storage areas into trailers or containers.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Perform pick-and-pack, light assembly, labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
• Maintain appropriate records and reports to support inventory control and security measures.
• Assist with physical inventories as needed.
