About The Position
Distribution International is hiring a Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver / Warehouse employee to deliver and unload finished products, parts, and materials at customer locations, and to assist with receiving, storing, and distributing inventory in the warehouse as needed. The role involves operating a commercial motor vehicle locally and assisting in the warehouse approximately 20% of the time. Work schedules vary, with start times between 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. or as determined by business needs. This is a safety-sensitive position. Approximately 80% of work activities take place inside the commercial vehicle cab, with the remainder outdoors.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18.
- Valid driver's license if operating a vehicle for company purposes.
- At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience operating a 10,001–26,000 lb vehicle.
- Acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle Record.
- Ability to perform warehouse duties.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle locally.
- Deliver and unload finished products, parts, and materials at customer locations.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and distributing warehouse inventory as needed.
- Assist in the warehouse approximately 20% of the time.
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with customers.
- Use navigation software.
- Perform other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.
