About The Position

The Warehouse Driver helps keep Alfred cafes operating efficiently by delivering inventory and supplies accurately and on time from the warehouse to cafe locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area. The role combines local driving with hands-on warehouse work, including loading and unloading inventory, receiving shipments, stocking products, preparing cafe orders, and maintaining an organized warehouse. The driver also supports inventory control, warehouse projects, vehicle upkeep, and delivery documentation while representing Alfred professionally.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.
Excellent customer service skills and a hospitality-first mindset.
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible and adaptable to changing daily business needs.

Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and twist, and remain on one's feet for extended periods.
Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a company vehicle on local delivery routes.
Sufficient visual acuity to safely operate a vehicle, inspect inventory, read labels, and complete delivery documentation.

Responsibilities

Complete scheduled deliveries to Alfred cafes accurately, efficiently, and on time.
Coordinate scheduled and ad hoc delivery requests through Slack, email, and other internal communication channels.
Deliver inventory, commissary products, cafe supplies, wholesale orders, catering, invoices, and other business materials to designated locations.
Verify deliveries and pickups for accuracy and maintain organized delivery documentation.
Safely load, transport, and unload products using proper material-handling techniques while maintaining product quality and organization.
Operate company vehicles safely and professionally in compliance with traffic laws, company policies, and vehicle safety standards.
Receive, inspect, unload, organize, and stock incoming deliveries, inventory, and pallets.
Pick, pack, and stage cafe orders for accurate and timely distribution.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, including storage areas, loading zones, and workstations.
Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages, damaged products, and discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
Assist with inventory and cycle counts and other inventory control initiatives.
Assist with warehouse projects, furniture moves, equipment setup, and general operational support.
Maintain company vehicles by monitoring cleanliness, fueling, routine maintenance, and service records.
Collect, organize, and file packing slips, invoices, and delivery documentation.
Follow company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices when operating warehouse equipment and transporting inventory.
